Feature Artists - Reflections of Nature 2019

For the first time - we had a Feature Artist Couple at the 2019 Reflections of Nature!

Garry & Connie Rector have been long time members of The Saskatchewan Wildlife Art Association. And - they have both won awards for their carving at the show throughout the years.

Garry has been carving since 1989 and teaching since about 1990. He was even brave enough to teach his wife Connie how to carve.

Twenty-eight years ago Garry Rector and Kirk Dyck approached The Saskatchewan Wildlife Art Association (SWAA) to start an annual show: The Reflections of Nature. Many felt that SWAA was not in a position to fund such an endeavour, but they were determined so they “put their money where their mouth was” and paid for that first show held at The Saskatoon Inn November 2 – 4, 1990.  The show was a success and they were able to recoup that money. The show has now found a home at Prairieland Park.
